After successfully completing its inaugural voyage, the world's largest cruise ship is nearly prepared to embark on its journeys from Florida. Royal Caribbean's Icon of the Seas underwent its initial set of sea trials and ventured into the open ocean for the first time. The ship has now returned to the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland, where construction is still underway. Later this year, the vessel will undergo a second round of sea trials to test its capabilities to the fullest, according to Royal Caribbean. Once finalized, the ship will encompass a total of 20 decks and accommodate up to 7,600 guests and 2,350 crew members. The ship boasts an impressive array of features, including the largest water park at sea, which includes six waterslides breaking records and seven pools. Among these, the Frightening Bolt will claim the title of the tallest waterslide to set sail, while the Pressure Drop will be the first open freefall waterslide on a cruise.
